A Little About Me

Hello! My name is Maddie Morgan and I am a competitive cross country ski racer. I am currently out of school because I attend the Winter Sports School in Park City. The WSS is a one-of-a-kind high school that allows winter athletes the opportunity to go to school all summer and in turn have their winters free of homework and classes.

Skiing is one of my absolute favorite things to do. My entire life revolves around skiing...from the school that I am enrolled in to the clothes that I wear. The past few years have been the most competitive for me because of the higher level training that I am doing under the coaching of Bill Hokanson. His team is the the Wasatch Nordic Ski Academy.

Over the past few years I have been fortunate enough to qualify for Junior Nationals in Stowe, Vermont as well as in Truckee, California. As a result of those races I have also qualified for the National U16 camp and the Regional Elite Group. Without a doubt, skiing has taken me more places than I could have ever imagined. I have met my best friends through skiing and have made the best memories.

Aside from skiing I am actually an artist! I love to draw and to paint. It keeps me sane while I travel every single weekend. I also enjoy my three dogs, Ginger, Clara, and Bernie, and my little cat, Zoey.

Now I hope you know a little bit about me and my love for cross country skiing. Enjoy my blog! As it is all about the life of a 6' 1" cross country ski racer and the places that it takes her…
